Thrift Store Old Glory

Here’s the live DIY of this project's  This thrift sale find for only $3 was calling my name to be turned into an old flag! When we came out with Dixie Bell Sea Spray, I just had to try it!  Here’s the before- I’m not sure if it was a trivet, but it was in great condition. I did have to sand it down a little. I just love how the  Dixie Bell Sea Spray made it look like old barn wood!  If you’d like the supplies, be sure to message or comment!

Repurpose Old Muck Boots for the garden

There is really nothing better than a good use for something that was headed to the trash!  Recently, we went though our boots to check for any that weren’t working or fitting.  Two pairs had holes and couldn’t be used, so I saved them from their demise!  Aren’t these floral boots adorable on the front steps?  The other pair I have are black, so I have different plans for those!   I added some extra sedums that are overtaking my flower beds to turn these trash to treasures! I’d love to hear what you think?  This was so satisfying to put together a little decoration.

National Upcycle Day

This is my National Upcycle day project.  I found this sign at the Deseret Industries thrift store in Idaho Falls when we went shopping with my son at ccollege.  It was $1.50!  I figured with wood prices right now, I couldn’t go wrong! Here’s the sign before I up cycled it!  It was cutout card stock that was modpodged to the board.  It was really stuck on.  I used a palm sander with quite a bit of pressure to get it to come off.  There was a gummy residue that had to go too! If you’d like to see my next steps, check out my YouTube video!  While you’re there, please consider following me.  This was a fun project for National Upcycle Day   Shop this Project

Changeable Arch Decor

Arches are trending this year in decor.  This arch easel is perfect for adding the arch to your decor and still having a changeable surface that can be changed out for the season.  One side of this reusable arch is white, and one is black.  Here’s my patriotic side. Be sure to take a look at my DIY video where I added this patriotic side of the easel. A while back, I had done the other side as this salt & light.  I love it so much, so it’s still on the ack side for awhile.  Here’s the video of when I did the Salt & Light side. I have a small business and I would love to help you start your own crafting journey.  Here’s the link to  Shop the Look Thank you for checking in

June Club Kit DIY

This month’s Club Couture Kit is a tea towel with a selection of boho patterns to ink on it.  I made it live today, and decided to use Candy Apple Red and Cadet Ink instead of the Shimmer Gold and Couture Teal that come with the project.  I’ll use those for a different project down the road! Our Club Kit is a once a month kit with an entire project included for just $21.99 including the shipping!  Included in the kit are 3 paste or ink singles packets, a surface and an exclusive B transfer stencil.  Such an amazing deal!  If you are a Perks member, you even get 30% off that $21.99!  Wow! If you’d like to join my club and get this fun boho project, check it out  HERE! Want an extra 30% off that price?  Take a look at PERKS here! Let me know what you think or if you have any questions!  I’d love to help you decide!

Music Student Gifts

I’ve wanted to make bags for the end of season, or even the beginning of music lessons in my studio.  Most of my students, carry their books everywhere, and they get destroyed from the car, water, food, etc.  so this gift is a little selfish on my side.  However, I do think that these turned out adorable.   I found these canvas backpacks on Amazon.  I even took into consideration the size of their binders, so that the binders would fit into the bag!    Chalk Couture came out with these two blueprint style transfer stencils that have musical instruments on it.  I should have checked them, because they didn’t have a guitar, and I actually have more guitar students this year than piano students. I just didn’t put the keys and piano on the guitar student’s bags.  For the music across all the bags, I used an old Christmas transfer called O’ Holy Night.  I just left off the words, so it wasn’t obvious that it was Christmas music.  If you sat down and played he piece, you’d know that it was

Thrift Store Makeover

This  project was a fun combination of my love of a good thrift find and gardening. I found this cute box at Goodwill for $2.99 on spring break!! I used 3 different kinds of sedum from my garden to fill this box. It’s a win win. I get rid of some of the extra sedum in my garden and this makes a cute little box for the deck.
